About
Over 1/3 of food is being thrown away, mainly due to physical imperfections or surplus production, despite being fresh and edible. Perfekto offers a subscription box with imperfect food from farm to table in Latin America. That way, consumers save time and money while reducing food waste. The founders led the Uber Grocery launch in Latam and scaled Swiss fintech Sonect to pre-Series B in Mexico. Further, their leadership team led Walmart's e-Commerce logistics and scaled the tech team and product of Mexican fintech Coru as CTO. Perfekto has already rescued over 350,000 kgs of food and works with Mexican producers and CPGs. While in the U.S. unicorns like Misfits Market have made this a proven business model, Perfekto is the first alternative of its kind in Mexico's $212B grocery market - a market where, unlike the U.S., 72% of food waste occurs across the supply chain.
